Product Overview
The
AMX5000 is an 8 x 32 and the AMX5010 is a 16 x 64 analog matrix KVM switch that provides multiple users with access to all major server platforms and serial devices. Its scalable and flexible design makes it particularly effective in evolving installations such as server rooms, test labs, demo labs and design environments.
AMX5110
The
AMX5110 is a desktop user station that provides a user with access to one AMX matrix switch and one local
computer. Exclusive Avocent AutoTuningâ technology automatically compensates for varying cable lengths and types and adjusts for signal losses each time a switch is made to a server. The AMX5110 user station works with the patented OSCAR® on-screen interface. OSCAR makes the system easy-to-use with multi-lingual, intuitive menus for CLICK AND CONNECTä system configuration and server selection
AMX5120
The AMX5120 is an enhanced desktop user station that provides a user with access to one AMX matrix switch and one local
computer. Exclusive Avocent AutoTuning® and skew compensation technology ensure premium video performance. AutoTuning automatically compensates for varying cable lengths and types and skew compensation adjusts for skew between RGB signals each time a switch is made to a server. The AMX5120 user station works with the patented OSCAR on-screen interface. OSCAR makes the system easy-to-use with multi-lingual, intuitive menus for CLICK AND CONNECTä system configuration and server selection.
AMIQ
Avocent's
AMIQ enhanced CAT 5 cable interface provides end-to-end CAT 5 connectivity and delivers real-time, high bandwidth video for KVM switching up to 1,000 feet away from the
server. The AMIQ features built-in memory and security capabilities. This advanced cabling solution assigns and stores unique identifier codes for each attached server, which prevents unauthorized configuration and access by manipulating CAT 5 cabling. This CAT 5 cabling intelligence provides key benefits for server environments where reconfiguration and modifications are common. The AMIQ's Keep Alive safeguard allows attached servers to continue network functions in the event of power failure to the switch.
AMWorks
For
centralized administration of the AMX system, an AMWorks license is
included with each AMX matrix switch. The AMWorks Java-based system
administration tool supports customized user profiles and multi-level
security and allows system administrators to build a user database with
assigned access and password protection for each server. Administrators
can view all activities that take place on the KVM system, including user
login, switches made to servers and changes made to the system connections
or setup. The database is centrally stored and can be downloaded to the
AMX matrix switch via the network connection port available on all AMX
units.
